Matt was a great teacher and a friend. He gave me spectacular advice during times of distress during in my undergrad.  I think having him as an older friend and as a mentor at UNLV made a much more resilient student. Every time I think about him, his lectures, or the good times we spent together my heart melts because he was truly one of a kind. Matt will always be in my thoughts.

I just heard of Matt’s passing.  I’m very sad to hear this   My condolences to his family and friends   I knew Matt when he worked at Evelyn community Center in Reno, Nevada   He was so nice to all three of my kids. They were a handful.  Hahaha 
I remember he took them on the overnight camping trip one night.  My kids had a blast  
He was always so welcoming when I would show up at the center and to drop off my kids and pick them up. 
I don’t know what happened however, I do know he will be missed   As I missed him when he moved to Las Vegas years ago

Was so sad to hear about the loss of my professor at coppin state university. The first day i met Dr. LeClaire at class i told him, "i like you already". He explain the work thoroughly. Even though i was his student for the short 4 weeks of the semester, he shed light into the classroom. Now it seems as though the light has been dimmed and now there's emptiness. I will always remember what Dr. LeClaire told the class, to get our master's degree because he said eventually we will need it. The impact that he left behind will always be with me. His smile, his teaching method was excellent, and how he made me laugh in class.  You will be missed.  CRJU 431 Research class
