Melissa Elleene Allen

Mellissa Ellene Allen, 43, unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on September 3, 2025 in Henderson, Nevada. She was born on July 1, 1982, in San Diego, California to Brack and Nancy Allen. In 1991 the family moved to Henderson, Nevada.

Melissa had a warm and loving heart, and everyone who met her could see she was full of whimsy. She was playful, imaginative, and so caring of the people around her. In her 43 years, she was always reaching out to others to make their day better with a kind word or deed. As Maya Angelou once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."

She touched so many lives with her kind spirit either with art projects that she shared so abundantly with others, or with time (and donuts or pizza depending on the time of day). She loved many various crafts (crocheting, painting, drawing, etc.), watching good movies, sharing a meal with family and/or friends, her cat Sophie, playing video or board games, and spending holidays with family. She freely shared her faith with others daily, and had a very strong community through her church. Throughout her life, Melissa also lived in Mesquite, Nevada; Perth, Australia; Houston, Texas; and Escondido, California.

Melissa is survived by her parents, Brack and Nancy Allen, sister Jennifer Tenhopen (John), Grandmother Esther Allen, Great Uncle Ron Allen, Uncle Kyle Allen (Timi), Uncle Terry Allen (Linda), Cousins Georgianna Patterson (Josh), Kimi Perez (Rigo), Kylie De La Torre, Amber Benton (Kelly), and several second & third cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM at Church at Lake Mead, 655 E Lake Mead Pkwy, Henderson, NV.
