Melvin Simon, 73, a retired electrician, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013. He was born on February 21, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan, and was a Nevada resident for almost 20 years. He served in the U. S. National Guard and was a member of IBEW Local 11. Melvin is survived by his wife, Judi Simon of Las Vegas, NV; sons, Larry (Diane) Simon of Pahrump, NV and David Simon of Mt Juliet, TN; daughters, Tami Baggi of Las Vegas, NV and Deborah Simon of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Devin, Ronald, Felishia and Brian; brothers, Gerald (Natalie) Simon of Van Nuys, CA and Harvey (Karen) Simon of Agoura Hills, CA; sister, Phyllis (Ron) Ruscillo of Encino, CA; great-grandchildren, Sienna, Savannah, Ronald Jr. and Bailey. Funeral services will be held at King David Memorial Chapel Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow at King David Memorial Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. King David Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
