Working along side Mike was truly a privilege, and beyond being a wonderful co-worker, he was also a dear friend. His kindness, humor and presence touched so many of our lives and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.

This guy could make you laugh, you could talk for longer than you planned to. A great man, a great friend to my husband and me. We will miss you Mikey. You will never be forgotten.

When I worked at METRO, I would talk to Michael at various times. I always enjoyed our conversations. I am sad to hear of his passing. I wish peace and joy to his family.

Thank you for being the best uncle I could ask for!  I always knew between you and my dad, Gavin would grow up knowing what it takes to be the best man, father, and husband. We will miss all of our adventures with you!

There was never a duel moment with you. I will cherish the amazing memories and miss being poked in the ear, you finger in my face to try and annoy me and being  called dork or nerd every time you saw me.

Mr. Andersen sure did make working at the radio shop far more fun and enjoyable. I will always be reminded of him when I see a can of Redbull or a Nature's Valley granola bar (his trademark breakfast). I'm proud to have been a coworker of his and will miss him lots. Sending peace and love to his family, especially Tanya and Riley.

Everyone at the LVMPD Air Operations Bureau is deeply saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Michael Andersen. His 25 years of dedicated service with the LVMPD reflect a life committed to supporting others and strengthening his community. That kind of devotion leaves a lasting mark—not only on the department, but on the countless lives he touched along the way.

To his family, friends, and colleagues, we extend our heartfelt condolences.
