Michael A. Bernardo

Michael “Mikey” Bernardo, 54, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away unexpectedly on August 4, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter and cherished memories.

Born on August 2, Mike was known for his fun-loving and easygoing nature; his passion for tennis, music, and sports; and his dedication to his family and friends. His sudden passing has left a deep void in the lives of those who knew and loved him.

Throughout his life, Mike made his home in three places that shaped who he was: Adrian, MI where he grew up and formed lifelong friendships, Chicago, IL where he began his career at GE HealthCare, and most recently, Las Vegas, NV where he enjoyed his love for tennis and golf.

He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Marianito Bernardo, and is survived by his mother Ruth Bernardo; his brother Mario Bernardo (wife Cinnamon); and his sisters Lorna Bernardo (husband Frank Rolek) and Marianne Bernardo (husband Kevin Mooney); as well as many extended family members and friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

A memorial service will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 pm on August 13 at Palm Southwest Mortuary at 7979 W. Warm Springs Road, Las Vegas, NV 89113 and a funeral service will be held from 12:00 – 1:00 pm at Holy Spirit Catholic Church at 5830 Mesa Park Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89135. All who knew and loved Mike are welcome to attend and celebrate a life gone too soon but never forgotten.

Mike’s interment with a Celebration of Life will be held in Adrian, MI at a future date. The family will share more information as plans are confirmed.

The family asks that donations be made to Holy Spirit Catholic Church in honor of Mike’s memory.
