Michael F. Ozuna, 58, passed away on June 13, 2026. Born on January 18, 1968, in Whittier, California, to Michael Victor Ozuna and Yolanda Ozuna, Michael lived a life filled with love, integrity, honor, and unwavering dedication to his family, friends, and career.
Michael was the beloved husband of Tracy Ozuna and a proud father to Jessica Evans and her husband Eric, Ryan Ozuna, Kristopher Ozuna and his wife Fuatino, and Dillon Ozuna and his wife Tayler. He was a devoted grandfather whose greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren, Perseá and Laken Ozuna. His love for his family was limitless, and he gave them everything he had.
Michael dedicated more than 30 years to the airline industry. He spent 27 years with Continental Airlines, continuing his career when the company merged with United Airlines, before retiring. After two years away, his passion for the industry drew him back, and he joined Southwest Airlines, where he continued to share his extensive knowledge and commitment to safety.
Those who worked alongside Michael knew him as a respected leader and mentor. There was little he didn't know about ramp safety, and he was fully invested in ensuring the well-being of every employee under his watch. He took his responsibilities seriously and prepared for each workday with dedication and purpose. Family members fondly recall how he would check his work assignment each evening and, upon seeing Zone 9, shake his head with a grin and say, "Damn, Zone 9 again."
Outside of work, Michael enjoyed staying active and could often be found at the gym. He loved golfing with his friends, occasionally bowling, and spending evenings at the movies-although those who knew him best might say he was there as much for the popcorn as the film itself. More often than not, somewhere in the middle of the movie, Michael would be "resting his eyes."
Above all else, Michael treasured his family. He was a wonderful husband, a loving father, and an extraordinary grandfather. His strength, wisdom, humor, and steadfast love created a foundation that will continue to guide those who loved him for years to come.
Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, Michael Victor Ozuna, and his brother, Bobby Ozuna.
Though our hearts are broken by his loss, we are grateful for the memories, lessons, laughter, and love he leaves behind. Michael's legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the friends he inspired, and the countless lives he touched through his kindness and dedication.
A celebration of Michael's life will be held on July 11, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Avenue,
Las Vegas, Nevada 89123.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts.
