Murray Weinstein, 87, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2015. He was born on April 8, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY and was a Las Vegas resident since 1994. Murray was a retired food service supervisor for 25 years. He concluded that profession with two years as head of food service for Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT. After retirement, he was a 15-year Metro Police volunteer stationed at McCarran Airport with over 10,000 volunteer hours. He is survived by his two sons, David (Linda) of Henderson, NV and Cary (Jutta) of Chino Hills, CA; and two grandchildren, Danielle of Columbus, OH and Carl of Bakersfield, CA. Funeral services will be at 10:00AM on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at King David Memorial Chapel, 2697 E. Eldorado Lane. Burial will follow at Palm Valley View Cemetery. Family requests that memorial donations be sent to Friends of Metro, 400 MLK Blvd, Las Vegas Metro PD HQ, MVP Program. King David Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
