Nancy Gail Reilly peacefully passed away on the morning of October 3, 2021, surrounded by family. She was born May 1, 1948 in Brooklyn, NY to parents Sidney and Marilyn Barkan. She attended her beloved James Madison High School, then Brooklyn College, and went on to work as a Medical Transcriptionist at Coney Island Hospital. The family moved to Las Vegas in 1986 and she began working in medical records for the Nevada Department of Corrections. As time went on she promoted higher and higher and eventually became Lieutenant and Shift Commander. After retirement she continued working as a cruise travel agent, helping friends and family plan wonderful vacations.
She was happily married to the love of her life, John Reilly, who preceded her in death in 2005. They had three children, son Sean Reilly, married to Becca Reilly; son Michael Reilly, married to Caroline Reilly; and daughter Jessica Gordon, married to Matthew Gordon. She also leaves behind six grandchildren, Benjamin and Margot Reilly; and Jason, Logan, Evan, and Olivia Gordon. She had one sister Lois Pastrana, who also preceded her in death. She had countless extended family because she welcomed everyone into her home and treated anyone and everyone as family too.
She loved her family most of all, but also enjoyed going on cruises, days at the pool, playing bingo, video poker, and trivia. She also enjoyed eating great food and was a fantastic cook. She enjoyed listening to the Beatles and the Killers, which were her favorites.
