

Nicholas was born in Philadelphia, PA on January 7, 1926. He married the love of his life, Frances Elizabeth Lopez in 1944. They were married for 46 years. She preceded him in death on July 5, 1991; and by his brother Dino Berardi. Nicholas and Frances had four children: Nicholas Berardi Jr (spouse Eloise) of Springfield Pennsylvania, Carolynn Towbin (spouse Dan Towbin, deceased) of Las Vegas Nevada, Beverly Albright (spouse Steven) of Ohio, and Janice Siano (spouse Dennis) of Las Vegas Nevada, plus eight grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Nicholas joined the Navy on July 15, 1943 and served until January 27, 1946. He served on the USS Boxer in the Pacific during WWII. He is a 50-year member of the American Legion Post 51, the Veteran’s Association, and member of the USS Boxer Association. He received a Pacific Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Ribbon, Victory Medal, and an American Theater Ribbon.
He graduated from Pennsylvania College of Chiropractic in 1948. After closing his Chiropractor practice, he was a Manager with Prudential Insurance and retired from Prudential. Nicholas had a very giving heart and supported many charities including several Veterans charities, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Shriner’s Hospital for Children, Mayo Clinic and so many more. Nicholas was a true Renaissance man. He studied naturopathy throughout his life. He built his own home in the 1950’s; he restored cars, and he could build or fix anything. He was passionate about dancing and telling stories. He was an artist and everyone that knew him loved him. He loved his family and friends. He had a special relationship with each of his children and all of his 26 grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
