Nick Damian, 87, of Henderson, NV, passed away on Feb 1, 2025, in Las Vegas, NV. The rock of our family, the man that we loved so much took his last breath and crossed the veil to be with the love of his life, our mom, Barbara.
Nick was born in Cleveland, OH, to Octavian and Sara (Radu) Damian, on Dec 11, 1937, where he attended John Marshal High School. He married Barbara (Yovan) Damian on Feb 5, 1961, in St. Mary’s Romanian Orthodox Church, in Cleveland OH. Nick and Barbara moved from Cleveland, OH to Redwood City in 1968, they then moved to Southern CA in the early 70’s.
Nick was an Army veteran, serving in Germany as a truck driver and played football. He loved telling stories of serving in Germany. He also served with Elvis Presley.
After serving in the Army, Nick worked in the restaurant industry but later became a Real Estate broker. He and his wife owned five Red Carpet offices and a property management company in Southern California before they moved to Las Vegas, NV in 1995, where Nick worked in the community management industry. He and Barbara loved to travel. They traveled across the country five times, visited almost all 50 states, took many cruises (40) and visited many places in Europe, Mexico, and the Caribbean.
Nick enjoyed his grandchildren and great granddaughter. While they were young, he would play hide and seek with Jamie and Christina; he enjoyed fishing with Jacob and playing Yahtzee with Bailey.
Nick is preceded in death by, his parents, Octavian and Sara Damian, his wife Barbara (Yovan) Damian, his brothers James Damian and Virgil Damian. Nick is survived by his daughters Victoria Damian Lane, Lisa Lord (Kenny), his grandchildren Jamie Lane, Christina Lane and Jacob Lord, his great granddaughter Bailey Mandel and his beloved dog Piper.
Nick was always willing to help people and lift them up. He was always sharing his infectious smile and wonderful sense of humor.
Dad was our hero, He was our rock, our guidance, our first love and someone who always cheered us on. He always told us how much he loved us and how proud he was of us. He was there to catch us when we fell and pushed us forward after.
Dad, you taught us, loved us and we were honored to take care of you these last few years.
We are grateful for the knowledge that we will see our loved ones again. Until we meet again, dad, we love you.
The family would like to thank the staff at Oakmont at Las Vegas, with the care of our beloved dad and grandpa.
The family will not be holding services.
