Pasquale “Paul” Calvi, 54, of Henderson, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016, after an extended battle with MS. He was born on October 8, 1962 to Margaret and Pasquale (Pat) Calvi in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he attended Annunciation BVM Elementary School, graduated in the 239th class of Central High School for Boys, and attended Temple University.
A self-taught guitarist and avid song writer, music was always the center of his world. It was a given that, on New Year’s Eve, Paul and his Guitar rig would be in front of the house on Passyunk Avenue in South Philly, waving goodbye to the Old Year with "twang-bar" rudeness.
The family moved to Las Vegas in 1989. Paul was hired as an Audio tech at the then groundbreaking Mirage Hotel and subsequently shared his talents with the Hard Rock Hotel, House of Blues, Local 720, and numerous other venues in the Las Vegas area.
Paul is survived by his mother Margaret (Marge); brothers Tommy and Anthony; nephew Anthony Jr.; niece Bronwynn; and many cousins and friends.
A visitation will be held from 6:00-9:00pm on Thursday, November 17 with a memorial service at 1:00pm on Friday the 18th. Both services will be held at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada 89123. Burial will be in Pennsylvania.
