

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Patricia McCoy Murphy, born June 3, 1943, who left us on July 20, 2025. Patricia, a stalwart fixture in her family and community, will be deeply missed by many.
Patricia is survived by her son, William McCoy, her grandsons Elliott McCoy, Patrick McCoy and his wife Rocio McCoy, granddaughter Savannah McCoy. Patricia was predeceased by her mother, Lorraine Jones. And her husband who was the love of her life Daniel Murphy.
In her lifetime, Patricia was a dedicated volunteer and organizer at Alcoholics Anonymous. Her commitment to helping others fight their battles with addiction was a testament to her unwavering compassion and tenacity, and she left a remarkable impact on many lives.
Patricia was a woman of simple pleasures, with a love for Mexican food, Oreos, Milkshakes, and Chocolate. Her go-to drink was iced tea, a refreshing choice that perfectly represented her cool and collected demeanor. In her downtime, Patricia enjoyed reading and walking, and she was also fond of playing poker machines.
She had a deep-rooted love for The Bible, which was her favorite book, and she enjoyed the music of Elvis and watching Fox News. A fan of cinema, Patricia's favorite movie was the classic 'The Lion King'. She also had a passion for sports and supported her favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Her favorite local haunt was the AA meetings she attended, where she not only found solace and companionship, but also a platform to make a difference. She loved vacationing in Ireland, where she could immerse herself in its rich culture and history. Her favorite color was blue, a hue that reflected both her serenity and depth.
Patricia's legacy will forever be etched in her contributions to Alcoholics Anonymous, a cause close to her heart. Her strength, resilience, and pursuit of service will continue to inspire us all. May Patricia find eternal peace and continue to shine on us from above
