Paula Kay Hartley, 73, of Las Vegas went home to be with the Lord Jesus on May 22, 2022. She was born April 23, 1949 to Franklin Ragan and Murilene Call of Fort Smith Arkansas. She brought great joy to their lives. Paula’s zeal for life was infectious and spread smiles and enthusiasm to everyone around her.
She graduated from Southside High in Fort Smith in 1967. While there, she excelled as a Thespian and journalist. After graduating Paula’s college days were cut short by a car accident that left her a paraplegic. But she never allowed that handicap to slow her down. Paula married Earl Louis Harley Jr in December of 1970 and they welcomed 3 beautiful children into their lives, Earl Louis III, Adam Kyle and Katherine Renee.
The Hartley’s moved to Las Vegas in 1986. While living in Vegas, Paula worked as an actress in the movie industry for many years. She became a lifetime member of the Screen Actor’s Guild.
Paula lost the love of her life when Earl passed away in 2005. But like all the challenges in her life she moved forward with strength and love for her family. She filled her days enjoying 6 grandchildren and 4 great- grandchildren. They were a great light in her life.
Paula leaves us now for her next amazing adventure in Heaven. She leaves her family with broken hearts because we’ll miss her, but smiles at the thought of her breaking in a new pair of dancing shoes!
Join us to celebrate Paula’s life on June 3, 2022 at 10AM at Palm Eastern Mortuary. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Paula’s memory to Disabled American Veterans. www.dav.org
