Pauline Grace Alires Lucero

Pauline Grace Alires Lucero, 77, a resident of Henderson, Nevada, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2013 with her husband and children by her side. Pauline was born June 22, 1935 in Las Vegas, New Mexico to Jose and Maria Alires. In 1954, she then moved to Henderson, Nevada where she met Delfino Lucero, the love of her life, for the past 58 years. She was a homemaker and lived in Overton, Nevada the last three years of her life with family. Pauline was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her biggest joy in life was spending time with her family and friends. She had a zest for life and always ready to go as she didn't want to miss out on anything! Before falling ill in 2006, she loved to play bingo, and after recovering, you could find her at least once a week playing her favorite penny machines at Sam's Town or the Eureka in Mesquite. She was preceded in death by her son, Albert Joseph Lucero; parents, Jose and Maria Alires; two sisters, Rose Montoya and Lucy Antencio; and one brother, Joe Alires. Pauline is survived by her husband, Delfino Lucero; daughters, Betty Pop (husband Robert), Rose Ann Jimenez, Mary Conn (husband Mikki); son, Dale Lucero (wife Patricia); ten grandchildren: Diana Baelly, Melanie Murray, Aimee Lucero, Amanda Lucero, Michael Jimenez, Shanea Jimenez, Roy Jimenez, Conrad Jimenez, Alex Conn, and Jewell Conn (fiancé Joey Harrington); thirteen great-grandchildren: Taylor Murray, Kristin Murray, Kai Baelly, Chloe Baelly, Conrad Jimenez, Harliey Jimenez, Havannah Jimenez, Thomas Cox, Jayden, Riley Jimenez, Tanner Jimenez, Chloe Jimenez, and her newest great-granddaughter, Lillian Paulina Marie Harrington; sister, Mary Santisteven; and extended family Mary Campain, Nathaniel Campain, and Maria Campain. Her caring heart, kindness, sense of humor and love will be missed by all her family and friends. Viewing will be Saturday, January 26, 2013, from noon to 2 pm with services immediately following at 2 pm, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada 89123.
