Brenda “Penny” Fine, devoted mom, loving aunt, caring sister and cherished cousin and friend passed away peacefully in Las Vegas, with her daughter by her side, October 1, 2021. Penny was born November 15, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois to Del Jr. and Marge.
In the late 70’s, Penny, along with her daughter, left Illinois to be near family in California, where she was blessed to enjoy the finer things in life and eventually able to retire at an early age. In the early 90’s, Penny followed family and moved to Las Vegas.
Penny was a dedicated Mom first and foremost. She treasured her daughter Tammy more than anything and embraced every moment with her. If asked, Tammy was the one thing she ever did right. Penny never wanted more children, and would say, “I did it right the first time, so I broke the mold.”
In earlier years, Penny was quite the dancer and could jitterbug, hustle and line-dance with the best of them. She loved traveling for the next “Bash” where she would enjoy making new friends and celebrating life with the special ones.
In later years, Penny really enjoyed playing Bingo and Bunko and welcomed any invite for a “game night”. She enjoyed sitting at her favorite poker machine, determined to hit that 4-of-a-kind with a kicker or the Royal. Penny also always looked forward to having lunch with her favorite niece, Adel, at the Olive Garden.
Her daughter, along with her family and friends that loved her, will forever sorely miss Penny.
Penny preferred that we not hold a service for her and instead, hold on to the memory of her bright smile, kind heart and the fun times we had together.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.palmeastern.com for the Fine family.
