Peter Joseph Becker

Peter was born in Columbus, Nebraska, on April 13,1945, the third of six children to Bartholomew Michael and Emma Ursula Becker.

After graduating from Schuyler High School, he attended Marquette University where he met the love of his life, Angela Aurora Blasco. They were married in 1969.

After graduation in 1967 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Peter became a Naval Aviator in the United States Navy, serving his country proudly for five years. Upon discharge in 1972, he moved to Las Vegas with his wife and newborn son, PJ, born in 1971. Their second son, Mikey, was born 1976.

As an integral part of the Blasco family, Peter was instrumental in the development of many of the family businesses - Arrow Ready Mix, Spanish Trail Golf and Country Club, Spanish Trail Realty and many others. He was also the first Chairman of the Board of Bank of Nevada.

He was predeceaced by his parents and sisters, Ann Becker and Mary Snitily.

Peter is survived by his wife of 56 years, Angela Aurora Becker; his sons, Peter Joseph Becker,Jr. (Neyda) and Michael Conrad Becker (Rebecca); grandchildren, Alexa Crissman (Jeffery), Conrad Becker, Alexander Becker, and Brooklyn Becker; great-grandson Maverick Crissman; sisters, Monica Becker and Geralyn McGourty (Rich);and brother, Bartholomew Michael Becker, Jr. (Enid).

He is also survived by a large and loving extended family.

A service is scheduled at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 5830 Mesa Park Dr, Las Vegas, NV, 89135 on Tuesday, December 16, at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the Children’s Advocacy Center Foundation (C.A.C.F) and/or Families for Effective Autism Treatment of Southern Nevada (FEAT).

He is loved and will be missed.
