Peter Louis Burkart, Jr., of Las Vegas, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015. He was born Oct. 30, 1928, in Detroit. Peter retired from the city of Highland Park, Mich., after 33 years of service and then resided in Las Vegas for 34 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Clara Burkart; wife, Margaret Burkart; and son, Paul Burkart. Peter is survived by his children, Peter Burkart III, Gerald Burkart, Michael Burkart, Brian Burkart, Madeline Morrill and Marilyn Willick; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, with services following, both at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123.
