Peter K. Fitzsimmons

Peter Fitzsimmons, 86, passed away February 16, 2023. He was born in Massachusetts. He graduated from St. Michael’s College in Santa Fe, New Mexico with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. Peter loved his family, friends, traveling and sports. He was predeceased by his wife Carolyn Fitzsimmons; his parents, William and Mary Fitzsimmons; brothers Paul and Michael; in-laws, Grace and Alex Gutierrez; sister-in-law, Mary Jo Sudgen; brothers-in-law, James Sugden and Manuel Rodriguez. He is survived by his daughter, Grace of Henderson; son, Kevin (Teri) of Reno; granddaughter, Tawni of Las Vegas; sisters-in-law, Jean G. Rodriguez of Santa Fe and Claudia Fitzsimmons of North Attleboro; two great grandsons; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He retired in 1994 as a Director of Health Physics and Environmental Division at the Department of Energy. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February, 6, 2023, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV followed immediately by interment, and a reception.
