R Joe Morgan

December 10, 1946July 18, 2020

Ronnie Joe Morgan, age 73 of Henderson NV, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2020 from complications of COVID 19. A private memorial service will be held at Palm Eastern Cemetery in Las Vegas, NV on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. The service will be live-streamed online. Joe was born on December 10, 1946 in Fort Worth, TX to William Eustice Morgan and Shirley Marie Morgan. He was first and foremost a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, and because of this, he was a truly loving and committed husband, father, and grandfather. Joe spent much of his life working in airline catering, but also spent time, in his latter years, working in church ministry and non-profit ministry. While in San Diego, CA, Joe dedicated his time to sharing the Gospel with men who were incarcerated and in Henderson, NV he taught others how to share the true Gospel with those of the LDS faith. Joe enjoyed aviation, camping, fishing, reading, politics, good Texas BBQ, and lots of time with his grandchildren. His life can be summed up well by the words of the Apostle Paul in Ephesians, Chapter 2: “And you were dead in your trespasses and sins in which you once walked… But God, being rich in love and mercy, because of the great love with which He loved us… made us alive together with Christ… For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:1, 4, 8-10 His life was evidence of the redeeming work of Christ in whom he trusted for his salvation: a sinner saved by grace. While he will be greatly missed, we rejoice that he is now at home with the Lord. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Linda Morgan; daughter Jacque Halbleib, her husband Patrick and daughter Morgan of Export, PA; Craig Morgan and his wife Angie and children Katie and Ellie of Henderson NV; Jessica Bridges and her husband Ben and children Isaac, Elijah, Stella, Liberty, and Mabel of Las Vegas NV; Raymond Morgan and his wife Brittany and children Ethan and Rae of San Francisco, CA; brother Larry Morgan and his wife Theresa of Graham TX; brother Steven Morgan and his wife Marie of Cypress, TX. Joe was preceded in death by granddaughter Isabella Bridges and grandson Micah Morgan. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Women’s Medical Resource Center of Southern Nevada, 1701 W Charleston Blvd Suite 130, Las Vegas, NV 89102.

have a memory or condolence to add?

Although I’d known them for over 20 years, it’s only the last few that I’ve grown close because of Faith.

I don’t think I’d seen Joe in person since the "Race for Life" to support Women’s Resource Medical Center.

I’d have to say my fondest memories would be the theological talks and the numerous times he’d come to my defense on Facebook when atheists or people of weak faith would accusing me for being "intolerant" or "unChristlike" by corroborating my posts with Scripture.

My prayers are with the Morgan/Bridges family, love you.
And Papa Joe, I bid you Godspeed.... ✝️❤️

We’re honored to have known and worked with Joe over the years ! He was a great leader and a man with a big heart. We recently FaceTimed for over an hour and it was just like the “Good Ol’ Days” at Marriott. He was always a great team player. We will all miss Joe. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Rest In Peace, Joe.

Linda and family!

I don't ever recall seeing anything but a smile on Joe's face. One of those smiles that makes you smile back.
Praying for all of you! I know it is a celebration to know where he is and that you will see him again, but it can be tough on this side until you get there. Know that I am here if I can do anything. Much love and hugs to you all.

Dear Linda & Family,
Your family has been part of our family for such a long time - so we have lots and lots of wonderful memories. But the memory that stands out most to me was Joe's eloquent speech at Micah's funeral. In my sorrow over Micah's loss over the years, I have wondered many times since then how many people who were in attendance that day came to Christ as a result of Joe's words - and that has brought me comfort. I love you all and continue to keep all of you in my prayers.
