

Rabel was born to the late Amie George (TuT) Wiley and Maggie Wiley in Carthage Texas on August 18th, 1934.
He graduated from Turner High School in 1953 in Carthage Texas, He also had his first child Elwin (Bo) Wiley, shortly thereafter, he moved to Los Angeles. He was drafted in the United States Army in 1955 through 1957 with an honorable discharge.
Upon returning to Los Angeles where he met and married Efalia Wiley. To this union of two children Reginald Wiley and Denise Wiley was born and united with stepdaughter Betty Johnson, Stepson Alonzo Johnson, and Stepson Paul Johnson Jr.
In 1957 Rabel worked for Douglas aircraft for four years and dedicated 29 years of service at Northrop aircraft. He retired in 1990 as a production manager. Upon retirement he moved to Las Vegas Nevada. In 1993 he married Alice Alexander with two stepdaughters, Marsha Strozier and Nicole Monk-Crosby.
Rabel enjoyed Listening to his favorite music Blues. Rabel was competitive, he loved playing dominos, billiards (pool), cards, and just about any other challenge. He was also a sports enthusiast especially watching NBA games, not just the LAKERS, but he knew the stats of every team. He also watched tennis, boxing, football, and hockey. He was also concerned about politics in this country, watching CNN & MSNBC.
He was an active member of the Classy Few Retirement Club (Northrop's first black managers) where he was the last man standing.
He also loved his white Cadillacs with vogue whitewall tires and the ashtray full of Winston 100 cigarette butts.
Rabel was preceded in death by his mother, father, (3) sisters, Mellie Faye, Eula B., & Cloteal. (3) Brothers Jessie Wiley, Noble C. Wiley, John C. Wiley, & (1) stepson Paul Johnson Jr.
Rabel leaves to cherish him his wife Alice Wiley of Las Vegas, Nevada; sons Elwin "Bo" Wiley from Palm Springs California Reggie (Phyllis) Wiley from Lancaster California; daughter Denise Wiley from Hesperia California. stepdaughter Betty (Ernest) Houston from Lancaster California, stepson Alonzo Johnson from Emeryville, California, stepdaughters Nicole Monk-Crosby from Los Angeles, and Marsha (Michael)Strozier from Compton California and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Services will be on June 12, 2023 Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and Funeral Services will be at 12:00 pm. Committal services will be 1:00 pm all at Palm Eastern Mortuary & Cemetery 7600 South Eastern Avenue Las Vegas, Nevada 89123. Pastor Jesse Brown will officiate the services.
