Ralph J. Jones

Ralph Jerome Jones passed away peacefully at home with his wife and extended family at his side on April 14, 2014. He fought a valiant battle with stomach cancer. Ralph was born on December 5, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois to Floyd and Ruth Jones. He served for 25 years in the United States Air Force, and retired as Technical Sergeant. He then served for several years in the Air National Guard in Los Angeles, California. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Edwina Burgess. He is survived by his wife Kathy; his brother Elden; sisters Carol Stark (Jerry), Connie Adams (Jack), Kathy Andress (Steve); daughters Karen Gunkel (Scott) and Susan Brandt; sons Scott, Steve (Amy), Patrick and Preston Jones; seven grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his much loved dog Zoie. Viewing will be held at the Palm Eastern Mortuary located at Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada, from 5:00 - 7:00PM. The funeral will be held at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery located at 1900 Buchanan Blvd, in Boulder City, Nevada, at 9:20AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to either the American Cancer Society or to a local Disabled Veteran's Association in his memory.
