Richard Earl Biggars, Sr., 70, of Las Vegas, passed away Sept. 4, 2011. He was born Oct. 1, 1940, in Center, Texas, but raised in Houston. Richard was a business owner in Las Vegas since 1986. He was loving, kind, generous and tender. He loved life in general, especially outdoor BBQ's, watching football, traveling with his wife, reading mysteries, his home and family. Richard leaves behind his wife, Wilma; former wife, Shirley Bates; three children, Richard Jr., Melissa Pierce and Michele Biggars; two stepchildren, Jennifer Bishop and Darrell Henderson; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three loving dogs, Pistol, C.D. and Roxie. Visitation will be 2-3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, with services following, both at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow at Palm Memorial Park-Eastern. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to We Care Foundation.
