After graduating high school in Atchison, Kansas, life took him West where he settled in Las Vegas, Nevada; became a successful boat store business owner and would eventually retire in the city of Boulder City. He loved to go on adventures with his wife and children. He and Karen traveled extensively in the US and Mexico, as well as other countries; via cruise ship, air or RV. Lifelong friendships were made on these trips. During retirement, he was also a tour bus driver in and out of the Las Vegas area, a volunteer for Lend-A-Hand in Boulder City, served on the board of Boulder City Senior Center and St. Jude’s Ranch for Children, as well as being involved in various ministries at St. Andrew’s Church. A lover of people, he was most at home with loved ones and good friends around him.
He is survived by his wife Karen; children Monica Serafini (McClintic) and Andrew McClintic; eight grandchildren, Christopher, Bradley Joseph, Melissa, Jacob, Sabastian, Zachary, Priscilla and Alexandra; nine great-grandchildren; and his four siblings, Dorothy, William, Catherine and Robert.
Services will be held at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Boulder City with a 7:00pm Vigil on Friday, May 11, followed by funeral services on Saturday, May 12 at Noon.
