Robert Caruso was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1943 to Mildred and Hugo Caruso. The family moved to Hollywood, California in the 1950's where Hugo maintained a thriving diamond setting business. Bob graduated from North Hollywood High and received a Bachelors of Arts degree in History and a Masters of Psychology from California State University, Northridge. He was employed by the Los Angeles Unified School District and Catholic Schools as a teacher and School Psychologist for many years.
In 1984 he graduated with honors from Southwestern School of Law. He and his wife, Nancy, a Speech and Language Pathologist, moved to Las Vegas where he practiced Criminal Law at the Clark County Public Defenders Office for many years.
He was an avid reader, researcher, and occasional writer in the areas of Brain Science, Physics, Evolution, Genetics, Greek and Roman Civilizations, American History and The Constitution.
Bob is survived by his wife of 38 years Nancy Sowka, his three daughters, Lisa, Michelle, and Pamela and six grandchildren.
