Robert D. Evans, Jr., 43, a lifetime resident of Las Vegas, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2011. Born June 22, 1967, he was a graduate of Las Vegas High School. Rob worked as a cook and bartender for many years. He was a gifted musician, teaching himself how to play the guitar. Rob loved spending time with family, especially at 4th of July celebrations. He loved spending time with children and was an animal lover as well. Rob is survived by his children, Savana, Robert III and Bailey Evans; his parents, Essie and Robert Sr.; and his sister, Contesa Garni. Rob was preceded in death by his grandparents; and by his brother, Kyle E. Evans. Visitation will be at noon Wednesday, March 23, with funeral services following at 1 p.m., at Palm Mortuary and Cemetery, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Interment will follow in the cemetery. He was a wonderful and caring person and will be greatly missed. Rob is with his brother, Kyle now in a greater place. We know they are at peace.
