Robert "Bobby" Kelsey

Robert Talmadge Kelsey was born on September 20, 1932 in Nashville, Tennessee to the Reverend Abraham T. Kelsey and Mattie M. Young-Kelsey. He passed away on April 18, 2015 in Henderson, Nevada. Robert attended elementary school in Nashville and graduated from high school in Jamaica, New York. Robert received his certificate from Industrial Arts School in New York; he drew beautiful art. Robert settled in southern California where he started his Pest Control and Construction business. Robert met his first wife, Elsey Lott, and from this union they had two children, Robert Kelsey Jr. and Grace Yvonne Kelsey. In 1973, Robert married his second wife, Lanese Shipp. They both retired and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2000. Robert and Lanese loved to travel and spend time with family and friends. Robert was a fun-loving person and was known to be quite the jokester. He will be greatly missed. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter Danielle Hall; and his siblings Ernestine, Abraham, Milton, Vivian, Calvin, Brian, Sidney and infant sisters Edna and Bernice. Robert is survived by his wife Lanese; children Robert Kelsey Jr. and Grace Yvonne Kelsey; grandson Prentis Jamaal Edwards; sister Elizabeth Jacobs; and a host of nieces and nephews.
