Robert James Mann

Robert James Mann, age 83, of Redding, California, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025. At the time of his passing, he was surrounded by his loving wife, children, and two of his grandchildren, as they shared memories of the wonderful life he provided.

Born on November 30, 1941, in Redding, California, to James and Rosemary Mann, Robert lived a life full of love, hard work, and devotion to his family. He was married to the love of his life, Beverly Mann, for 62 years, and together they built a family that was the center of his world.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife Beverly, his children Jeffrey Mann, Heather Sargent, Jim Mann, and Holly Hill, ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, with one more on the way and sisters, Marilou Rennie and Karen Contant. His family was his greatest joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

A dedicated truck driver throughout his career, Robert was admired for his work ethic and commitment. Outside of work, he had a passion for computers and always enjoyed the latest gadgets and loved new technology.

More than anything, Robert was extremely family oriented. He loved his wife fiercely and was an amazing role model to his children, teaching them by example what it meant to be a man, a husband, and a father.

He was very proud of the fact that all of his children and grandchildren married wonderful people and are still married to this day. His family was his greatest accomplishment.

He was loved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion.

A memorial service will be held in early December in Henderson, Nevada—Robert’s favorite time of year, when all his family gathered together to celebrate. Details will be shared with family and friends in the coming days.

A Life Well Lived

A life well lived is a precious gift, of hope and strength and grace, from someone who has made our world a brighter, better place. It’s filled with moments, sweet and sad with smiles and sometimes tears, with friendships formed and good times shared, and laughter through the years. A life well lived is a legacy, of joy and pride and pleasure, a living, lasting memory our grateful heart’s will treasure. -Author Unknown

Your gentle face and patient smile with sadness we recall, you had a kindly word for each and died beloved by all. The voice is mute and stilled the heart that loved us well and true. Ah, bitter was the trial to part from one as good as you. You are not forgotten loved one, nor will you ever be, as long as life and memory last, we will remember thee. We miss you now, our hearts are sore, as time goes by, we miss you more. Your loving smile, your gentle face, no one can fill your empty place. -Author Unknown
