Robert Andrew Ogden

Robert Andrew Ogden, age 88, passed away on January 14, 2026. Robert was born in Salt Lake City Utah on June 18, 1937. At age 7 he moved to Los Angeles California with his mother, sister and brother. After graduation from high school Robert enlisted and served in the United States Navy. Upon returning to Los Angeles, he met and fell in love with Barbara Ann Jarrett. They were married on May 24, 1959. During their 42 year marriage, they had 8 children and lived in several cities in California, and Las Vegas NV.

Robert retired from working at General Telephone Company after 32 years. He was often heard to say “Work is my best friend”. He tried his hand at homesteading and raised chickens, turkeys, pigs, goats and a calf. He was an accomplished gardener, growing vegetables and fruits for his family. Robert was a lifelong, devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and provided service in many of its different organizations throughout his life. He had 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be 5:00PM on February 17 at 2275 East Tropicana Ave, Las Vegas NV.

Burial will be 9:20AM on February 18 at Boulder City Veterans Cemetery 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr. Boulder City NV.
