

Rogelio Hernandez, 77, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Feb. 17, 2015, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was born Aug. 10, 1937, in Mexico City to the late Gregorio and Paula Hernandez. Rogelio worked for A.T.S.A. Construction in Mexico City until 1996, when he decided to pursue the love of his life, Eulalia and move to Las Vegas. He acquired work at Ford Country in the maintenance department and shortly thereafter married his love Eulalia “Lala” Hernandez on May 17, 1997. Rogelio then enjoyed an adventurous second half of his life traveling, dancing, watching boxing and soccer matches. He also loved spending time with his family and friends. His passion for life and happiness serves as an example for all who have met him. His smile and laughter was infectious and always welcoming. He is survived by his wife, Eulalia “Lala” Hernandez; his children, Gaby (Arturo), Bertha, Ernesto, Claudia, Aida, Joaquin (Michelle), and Yolanda (Chris); his brother, Benjamin; and 14 grandchildren. We will miss you and carry you in our hearts. The family would also like to thank and give gratitude to all those at Solari Hospice who took exceptional care of him. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27 with Rosary to follow at 7 p.m. A funeral service will be at 12 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28 with the burial to follow.
