Roger was born on February 19th, 1955 in Custar Ohio to Evelyn and John Drummer. After his childhood in Ohio, he moved on to live in places such as Arizona, Hawaii, and California where he eventually met his wife of 27 years, Laura Snider.
Roger loved cooking for his loved ones, reading and writing poetry, and a nice red wine. He had a passion for helping people with their health and wellness, and was a certified Chinese herbalist and nutritionist. His patented drink Tianchi has helped many people all over the world. He loved the outdoors and often went on hikes and walks with his treasured companion and dog Ruby. In his youth he was a triathlete, and carried that affinity for fitness throughout his life. His humor was unmatched, and he had a knack for always having a crazy (but true) story to tell. He traveled all over the world, bringing back stories and new recipes to try for his family. He was an avid football fan, with a deep loyalty to the Detroit Lions and Ohio State Buckeyes. Roger Drummer is survived by his three daughters, Sarah Drummer, Almah-Luce Drummer, and Amrita Drummer, as well as his siblings, Margaret Drummer, John Drummer, and Greg Drummer. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Laura Snider, his parents John and Evelyn Drummer, and his sister Jackie Brandt. A memorial celebration will be held on September 21st at Peace Lutheran Church in Bowling Green Ohio. The service will start at 11am, but Peace Lutheran will open at 10:30 for the family to receive visitors. The family would like to extend their gratitude to all friends and family for their loving messages and support.
Roger will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of quick witted humor, a passion for cooking, and deeply loving and caring for the people in his life. He always held an open table at our house, and treated every guest like family. We will always remember for his big smile, loud laugh, and many words of wisdom.
