June 18, 2022, in Henderson, NV, at the age of 74. Rolayne is survived by her children Boyde Wenger (Fiona), DeEtte Young (Allen), Royden Wenger (Heidi), Katrina Sanchez (Steve), Leigh Wenger (Angel), 8 grandchildren (Bradley, Ian, Stuart, Meg, Owen, Cole, Ellie, & Grant); her siblings, Arleen Farrell, LeRoy Richardson, Ron Richardson, & Larry Richardson (Carol). She is preceded in death by her sweetheart, Rick Wenger, and her parents, Persyl & Elsie Richardson.
Rolayne was born in Murray, Utah, on June 16, 1948, to Persyl and Elsie Richardson. She grew up in Murray, graduated from Murray High School, and then attended Weber State University. Rolayne and Rick were sealed for time and all eternity, in the Salt Lake Temple, on September 5, 1968. Together they had five children. Rolayne was blessed to be a stay-at-home mom when her children were young. She was heavily involved with the PTA at her childrens’ elementary schools, which eventually led to employment with the Clark County School District (25 years). She worked as a library aide and registrar. Rolayne faithfully served in numerous capacities in her church – Primary, Young Women, Relief Society, Sunday School, and Scouting, all while faithfully supporting her husband in his callings. Rolayne was a faithful servant of the Lord. She loved the gospel and was a valiant follower of our Savior. Rolayne was a talented artist – painting, sketching, & drawing came naturally to her. She was always active – dancing, playing tennis, walking with friends, and she loved being outdoors. She was social and inclusive, always making friends and serving others. Rolayne will be missed by many, but we know that she has been reunited with her sweetheart, Rick, her parents, and many others.
A viewing is scheduled for Thursday, June 30, at 10:00 am, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am (875 Rich Perez Jr Dr, Henderson, NV). The graveside service will follow at Palm Mortuary at 1:00 pm (7600 S. Eastern Ave, Henderson, NV). All are welcome to attend and honor Rolayne.
