I just found out that Romeo passed away a few years ago. We were neighbors on Albers St. in North Hollywood for a long time. I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope you are all well.

Losing my dad is one of the most difficult hardship I ever had to go through. That being said this process has made me realize just how lucky I was to have a father like Romeo. Without his example, encouragement, advice and love I wouldn't be the person I am today. Dad, your life with us will always be remembered. You have been the perfect sweet gentleman to everyone you came across. They'll always remember you for the different things you are to them.  To me, you are the man that loved your family, loved your music, loved to watch your daughter's movies and you loved God. You are a good father. Your bold move to the United States gave us the very best in life. To our mother, you loved and cared for her all her life, even through her difficult times. To your brothers and sisters, you remained a caring and loving brother. Always there to contribute positively to promote peace and togetherness. To your relatives back home, you are a second father to them. You are very kind, thoughtful, caring and gave fatherly advice and help to those who seek your help. To the church, you generously volunteered your time in numerous church activities from parish council member, to hospitality ministry to joining the Knights of Columbus to name a few. And you loved going to daily morning mass. In you neighborhood you were the nice friendly neighbor that always help out in any way you could. Dad. You remained gentle, caring, loving and happy up until your death. I am proud to be your son. It is painful to lose you now dad but God knows what's best. God is calling you now to embrace you and to welcoming you into his kingdom. You are gone physically from this world, but your memory will live on forever. I wish you farewell as you reunite with your mom, dad and your sister in heaven.  Much love always-

Since my Dad’s passing, many family members and friends have shared their personal experiences and stories of my Dad with me.   It's clear that my Dad meant different things to each person and has impacted his or her life in some meaningful way.  To me, he was my hero.

He has been with me since the first day of my life. Throughout my childhood, my Dad was a rock of stability and a source of strength for our whole family.  He has taught me so much, not only the basics to survive in this world but to also discover the beauty in it.  He has always encouraged me to pursue my dreams and find the things I’m most passionate about.  Both he and my Mom would travel to wherever in the world I would be wherever my filming locations took me, just to make sure I was okay and to lend their support.  Because of his unyielding love and support, I’ve had the courage and confidence to accomplish many amazing things and create memorable experiences in my life, carving my own path in this world and marching to the beat of my own drum.  My Dad instilled those qualities in me, and I believe I’m a better person for it.

He’s shown his love not only in words, but also in his actions.  He was so generous with his time and love, always going out of his way to help his family and friends no matter how small or big the task was.  I’ve watched him perform so many selfless acts, and I am both in awe and inspired. I’ve had the privilege to share so many wonderful experiences with him and I am so honored to have witnessed his glorious life and be with him at the end of his life on earth.

Dad, I’ve always counted on you for your advice and guidance, and I’m counting on you now to be our guardian angel and keep watch over me, Mom and Ron.  I will miss you dearly, Dad, and I will always hold onto the beautiful memories we shared together.   Until we reunite again in heaven.  You will always be in our hearts, Dad.

Our deepest sympathies and condolences to your family.  Romy was the BEST neighbor for 21 years, along with Julie, anyone could ask for. He always made sure I knew I had packages delivered, he watered my plants regularly, he brought my garbage bins up. He always showed care and concern for my family and I.  He was the kindest man. He will be deeply missed. RIP Romy.
