Ron was a blessing for everyone around him. His love of life was contageous.  
Today I witnessed a family in grief, laying their beloved husband, father and friend to rest. Their love and loss so  heavy it filled the room around them.
God bless and protect them all.

Lost a good friend plus one of my only cousins. Enjoyed being together and as my Mother would say were you n Ronnie getting in trouble again .  We were gambling together on day at a casino n forgot it was Mothers Day. Finally called her at nine o’clock n first thing she said you were with Ronnie.
Will miss you old friend n now I’m the last of the Mohicans.

I was lucky enough to work with Ron for many many years.  He was an amazing mentor that taught me the importance of working hard while still having fun.  There was a lot of laughter in the office mixed with the craziness.  I know he is watching over you Mardi, Holly, and Brad.  I’m sending you all my deepest condolences 🤍

Until We Meet

I cannot call this a goodbye.
That word feels too heavy, too final.
My heart believes this is only a see you later.
You may not be here where I can hold you, but

Know the world feels quieter now, like something steady slipped away.  But love like his doesn't leave you  -  it walks beside you every day.  In stories, laughter, quiet signs, in strength you didn't know you had.  He's there in all the ways you live, still proud, still yours, still Dad.

Jose Luis and I send our deepest condolences to Mardi, Holly, and Bradley for the loss of husband and father.
Ron will be remembered for his warmth and kindness, and his love of his family.
We have fond memories of the wonderful trips he drove us on to the National Parks in Arizona, 1976. Yellowstone in Wyoming, Montana, Glacial Park, Alberta, Washington State, and Vancouver Island where we camped for two weeks while he flew back to Las Vegas to work, then returned to drive us down to the Redwoods, then back to Nevada. He figured he had driven 3,000 miles in a RV. Motorhome with two families aboard.
Ron was so knowledgeable about the history of the places we visited. We never tired of hearing his stories of the American West.

I am fortunate to have many great memories of my brother-in-law Ron!   I met him in 1969 at the “White House” on 10th and Electric Street in Seal Beach where he and Del and Monty were roommates. That summer we all watched T.V. in astonishment as American astronauts landed on the moon. Ron was very moved.

Back then Ron drove a red Triumph sports car!  He loved music and was a great artist.  I particularly remember one amazing picture he’d drawn of singer Janis Joplin!    

Ron definitely knew how to enjoy life.  He was quick-witted with a great sense of humor!  My kids used to say the party got started when Uncle Ron arrived!  

Ron also loved sharing history.  He was so knowledgeable about Utah and Nevada and had extensive experience fishing and hunting.   Over the years we went on many fun trips with Ron and your Mardi…  camping at the beach near Lompoc, California, fishing at Panguitch Lake near Zion National Park, trips to Sundance in Provo Canyon, and Park City when it was still the remnants of an old mining town.  Once, we had driven for 15 hours to Salt Lake City when, shortly after arriving, Ron said, “Let’s go!”  We then all drove another 2 hours – partly on dirt roads – high up into the Uinta Mountains to one of his secret fishing spots where we camped!  

Ron loved his family.  He worked hard and provided well for them.  He really enjoyed time spent with them in their lovely bungalow in Maui.  Back in 2004 when we visited, Ron was familiar with all the island’s flora and fauna.  I remember him fixing a great barbeque for us. Later that evening my children were delighted as Ron patiently pointed out all the stars.

A kind and sweet man, he was a blessing to all of us!  We will miss him.  My sincerest condolences to Mardi, Holly and Brad.

Steve and I send our heartfelt condolences. We hold fond memories of our visit to Las Vegas in 2014, when Ron kindly took us to Red Canyon, welcomed us with a barbecue, and shared thoughtful conversations about the world.
I will always cherish his unforgettable campfire stories from our camping trip in 1988 and remember how generous he was with his time when we were children.
Ron will be deeply missed. He was a man of many talents, warmth, and kindness. We only wish we had had more time with him and the chance to create even more memories.
Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
