Ronald Everett Freeman, 86, of Las Vegas, NV; formerly Mechanic Falls, ME; passed away January 20, 2022, at St. Rose Dominican Sienna Hospital in Henderson, NV. He was born January 17, 1936, in Gardiner, ME; the son of Everett W. Freeman and Nellie L. Smith. They resided in Sherman Mills, ME, before he left home at the age of 18 to join the United States Air Force; where he received his GED.
While stationed at Harlingen AFB, Texas, he met the love of his life, Cora S. Padgett. They were married September 2, 1958. They were stationed at many bases and raised four children. He retired as a MSgt. on June 30, 1976, after 22 years of service.
They moved to Mechanic Falls, ME, where Ronnie took over the running of his father's garage (after his father's passing). He ran Freeman's Garage and went to CMTC to receive his Associates Degree in Automotive Mechanics. He ran Freeman's Garage for about 20 years and made many friends.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 63 years, Cora S. Freeman and their four children and their spouses: Rhonda S. Freeman Maher & Thom of Norway, ME; Ronald E. Freeman Jr. & Cathy of Las Vegas, NV; Kevin W. Freeman & Leona of Mechanic Falls, ME; and Jeffrey A. Freeman & Samantha of Otisfield, ME. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He is survived by his sister Evelyn J. Robinson of Houlton, ME; step brother Aubrey Hoyle of Hampden, ME; and step sister Linda Hoyle Maher of Poland, ME. He is predeceased by his parents, step mother Pauline, and brother Dwight Thomas Freeman.
Ronnie loved his family dearly and was very proud of all of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held in the late spring or early summer at Freeman's Cemetery, Clifford St., Mechanic Falls, ME. A celebration of his life will be held at his daughter's home in Norway, ME.
