At age 80, surrounded by his wife and family, Ronald H. Klegin passed into the hands of the Lord on April 28 2015, after a gallant battle with Prostate Cancer. He served in the United States Army at Fort Riley Kansas. While assigned there in 1952, he achieved the rank of SP 3 as a heavy vehicle mechanic and helicopter maintenance and separated from active duty in 1954. From that point on, he aggressively pursued his technical abilities in the automobile repair industry, quickly earning the title as a master mechanic, achieving multiple certifications on a wide range of automobiles and trucks. He was an employee of Dealer’s Manufacturing Company for 20+ years. In 1978, he relocated with his wife and mother-in-law from Minneapolis to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he earned the reputation as an indispensable service parts employee at Jim Marsh Kia, Mitsubishi and Chrysler Sales and Service, Las Vegas. His uncanny memory for numbers impacted his section to effectively manage the inventory and control of hundreds of parts for multiple automobile lines for decades. In 2012, at the age of 77, he finally called it quits and retired. He always loved spending time with family and friends and pursuing his love of classic automobiles, in which during his adolescent and teenage years, participated in numerous restoration projects with his father and brother. After owning several different makes and models, Ronald and his wife Judy, finally found their love for Ford Thunderbirds, spending hours together in the garage restoring three from near salvage to absolute top-notch show quality condition, earning awards at many local car shows in both Minnesota and Las Vegas. Their last Thunderbird, a 1950 with a unique factory sun-roof, was featured on stage during a Las Vegas Chuck Berry performance. He loved to travel with his wife and enjoyed his family and his life to the fullest. He is preceded in death by Harold Klegin (Father), Emma Klegin (Mother), and Jodelle Klegin (daughter). He is survived by his loving family; friends, Janet (Richard) Gibbs (sister), David (Carol) Klegin (brother), Judith Ann Klegin (wife), Cousins: Kathy Ziemba and Margaret Ferrell, Steven (Emiko) Klegin (son), Julie (Al) Remnter (daughter), Alicia (Christopher) Albrecht (daughter), Nieces and Nephews: Annette, Emma, and Timothy.
