Ronald Craig Shuman

With love and remembrance, we share the passing of Ronald Craig Shuman, who passed away on February 15, 2025, in Las Vegas, NV. He was born on August 2, 1956, in Chicago, IL, to Jerome Shuman and Norma J. Shuman (Serota).

Ron was an outgoing and talkative soul who never met a stranger. He had a big personality, a sharp sense of humor, and a knack for striking up conversations wherever he went. Above all, he deeply loved his daughter, Megan Caires (formerly Shuman), her husband, Justin Caires, and took great pride in being a grandfather to Brody Ray Caires, Sadie Lynn Caires, and his soon-to-arrive grandson, Brayden Fox Caires.

He is also survived by his brothers, Richard Shuman (Marcy) of Northbrook, IL, and Gary L. Shuman (Michelle) of Northbrook, IL, as well as his loving nieces, Lindsey Malitz (Shuman) of Highland Park, IL, Hailey Shuman of Chicago, IL, and Taylor Shuman of Chicago, IL.

Ron will be remembered for his big heart, his love of conversation, and the joy he brought to those around him. His family will be honoring his life privately.
