Rae was born in Detroit, MI to Mollie (nee Roisbruch) and Max Pearlman. She was a southern Nevada resident from 1990-2009, then lived in San Diego, CA since 2009. Rae is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 54 years, Rubin Schaffer; and son, Stuart Schaffer. She is survived by daughter, Eileen Vergino (Michael); son, Michael Schaffer (Felicia); daughter-in-law, Karen Schaffer; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at King David Memorial Chapel at 10:15AM on Friday August 7, 2026, at King David Memorial Chapel, 2697 E. Eldorado Lane, Las Vegas, NV with burial at Palm Valley View Cemetery, Las Vegas, NV. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Seacrest Foundation, Encinitas, CA, or The Jewish Federation of San Diego County. King David Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
