Rosita Abraham Aguila, 86, passed away on October 24th, 2022 at Southern Hills Hospital in Las Vegas, NV. She was born on August 8, 1936 in Gulibay, Bauan Batangas to Esteban and Iluminada Abraham, and was raised with her three brothers, Ernesto, Senecio, and Geronimo. She earned her degree as a Certified Nurse Midwife in 1956 and was one of the only Midwives in the Province of Batangas. From 1956 to 1965 she attended to almost a thousand births with no assistance from a Medical Doctor.
She is survived by her son Richard, his wife Anna, grandson Rafael; and her daughter Rowena and her husband Thomas. She will be cremated and her remains brought back to the Philippines in 2023 and laid to rest next to her husband, Dr. Nicomedes Sarmiento Aguila.
