Roy Ayala Izquierdo

Roy Izquierdo Ayala, 28, passed away on August 12, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born on November 7, 1997, in Oxnard, California, to Jorge Izquierdo and Monica Ayala.

Roy graduated from Southwest Career and Technical Academy, where he studied with an emphasis in Hospitality. His interests, however, reached far beyond any one subject. Roy had a curious mind and enjoyed everything from literature and movies to music, sports, video games, and anime.

He was a devoted Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Cowboys fan and proudly represented both teams. He loved playing video games, with favorites that included Silent Hill, Resident Evil, and BioShock. He also had an appreciation for movies and characters that ranged from the fun and nostalgic world of Toy Story and Disney to the darker worlds of horror films. His collection of books, games, music, sports memorabilia, and keepsakes told the story of someone with many different interests and a personality all his own.

Roy also enjoyed reading, with works ranging from Shakespeare to The Iliad and The Odyssey. Music was another part of his life, and the things he treasured reflected the many different sides of him; thoughtful, fun, nostalgic, and uniquely Roy.

Above all, Roy had a warm and kind soul. He was deeply loved by his family and friends, and the memories they shared with him will remain far more meaningful than any of the things he left behind. Those who knew Roy will remember the interests that made him light up, the things that made him laugh, and simply the person he was when they were together.

Roy's life was far too brief, but the love he gave and the memories he created will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His memory will be cherished by his family and friends, and he will be deeply missed.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, August 28t from 6-8 PM at Palm Southwest Mortuary, and a funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 29th at 11 AM at Christ the King
