Ruben began his career as a dealer at the Barbary Coast in Las Vegas where he worked for 12 years. He relocated in 1998 to Mt Pleasant, MI to expand his career at the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort. Ruben brought the game and hired the team for Roulette. He later became a supervisor and worked until September of 2017.
Ruben loved good food and socializing, he enjoyed going to the lake and riding his boat alongside his friends. He loved coming home to Vegas to see his family and spend time with his grandchildren. His smile, energy and the great smell of Curve always lit up the room.
He will always be remembered and dearly missed.
Ruben is survived by his mother Julia; his children Ruben Jr. and Jessica; his 9 grandchildren; and his sisters Claudia and Doris.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to St Jude’s Ranch for Children in Boulder City where it will be his final resting place.
