Rudolf RC Misseijer was born March 20, 1949 in Djakarta, Indonesia and immigrated to The Netherlands in 1956. He was married to Penpon on September 11, 1969 on USAF Base in Korat, Thailand. They have four daughters, Supatta Sangiaga, Sununta McKenzie (Bryan), Jennifer Foster (Josh), Danielle Doggett (Chad); eight grandchildren: Tricia, Pentra, Janel, Dara, Donovan, Dmitri, Geo, Hayley; and six great-grandchildren: Dillon, Maddy, Daniel, Ethan, Owen and Leah. After arriving in the United States, Rudy previously completed his Elementary education in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, his secondary education, at Marina Del Rey Junior High School in Marina Del Rey, California, and Venice High School in, Venice, California. He enrolled at Santa Monica City College where he received his AA Degree and enlisted in the USAF during the Vietnam War. He was initially based at Vandenberg AFB, Santa Maria, California then accepted an assignment on Korat USAF base for two years. He then met his future wife, Penpon Worrabutra, at the base; they married in September 1969 and had their first child, Jennifer Yvette, in the US military hospital in Bangkok on June 30, 1970. He received an honorable discharge from the USAF on September 1970 and returned to the United States temporarily residing with his parents in West Los Angeles. Rudy went back to College and attended the Northrop Institute of Technology and graduated with a BA in Mechanical Engineering. His many years as a rewarding and successful career as an engineer being assigned to many countries in the world, ended in retirement from the Siemens Corporation in June 2010. Rudy lived a rich and rewarding life with a supportive and loving wife, four daughters, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In early 2013, he was given the prognosis that he had contracted stage 4 cancer; given 6-10 months to live. He accepted the Lord in July of 2013 and said that he would be ready to meet the Lord. But instead, God gave Rudy three more years to be with us and as the fighter he was, continued battling cancer with the help of doctors, family and friends on a monumental scale.
