There are those that walk this planet whose spirits harden with each rough patch of land they cross. Hearts blacken and solidify to the point where movement is no longer possible. For these people humanity is understood as lost. The bereaved writing this ode can, with all certainty, assure you readers that these life-worn souls would be restored at the sight of Sabrina’s kindness. Sabrina’s heart was not hardened. It was an open door surrounded by welcoming scents of her homemade desserts and surrounded by newly wrapped gifts for her many nieces and nephews. To simply say ‘Sabrina was loved’ would be a tremendous disservice to her memory. Sabrina was more than loved; she was cherished. For every moment she spent with family and friends was appreciated. Not because of her Rice Crispie Treats or toys, but because of her altruism. Sabrina did not just do nice things. Sabrina was by all standards good. She was a loving mother to more than her three children, but also to all those she knew. She was the anchor to this large and loud family. Grounding us with her embraces and eye rolling. We were always reminded not to take ourselves too seriously. It was our togetherness that was most important not our egos or temporary grievances. It is with the utmost despair that we share with you all the loss of this anchor, this dessert baker, this booboo kisser, gossip, daughter, sister, tia, wife, and mother. The memories we made with her will not go unforgotten. They will be shared with all those we meet, including you, and through this collective Sabrina’s memory will live on.
Sabrina Linda Chavira - Quintanilla was born on January 7, 1979 in Hollywood, California and resided in Las Vegas. On March 10, 2014, surrounded by loving family and friends, Sabrina left her role as anchor and became our angel and protector.
Arrangements under the direction of Palm Eastern Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV.
