Born on August 3, 1964, in Fort Benning, GA - Mother: Jeanette Miriam Shaw, Father: Stuart Spencer Shaw. Scott was a man who valued education and learning. He graduated from Washington Southern Academy and went on to receive a Master of Science degree in Psychology in Law from the University of Northern Iowa. While at the University he had the opportunity to do research on a book that Dr Kimberly McCracken later published.
Scott’s professional life was in Solar and LED lighting; he was a project manager and wrote Grants for the company. His work and charitable efforts were recognized, and he received the National Man of the Year - Solar Charity Award. Scott loved traveling, but it wasn’t simply about visiting the places; it was about having the experience and creating memories. He was always looking for new adventures and cherished the memories he shared with people he met.
Scott loved the outdoors. He loved camping, cooking, snow and water skiing, scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming, fishing, and hiking. He had a desire to experience life rather than watching it pass by. He had a special love for his Golden Retrievers: Laris, Elvis, Dallas, and Presley.
He was preceded in death by his father Stuart Shaw, his Brother Shawn Dennis Shaw, Maternal Grandparents Theodore and Mildred Heiple, Paternal Grandparents Beatrice and Spencer Shaw, Aunt Olivia Burns, and his Uncle David and Aunt Shirley Heiple. He is survived by Partner Ronaldo Shaw, his Mother Jeanette Shaw, his brother Shannon and his wife Sondra Shaw, nieces Paige and Riley, and his nephews Skylar and Chase Shaw, Sara Prendergast and Ryan Longcor.
The Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 19 at Palm Mortuary at 2:30 pm at 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Las Vegas, NV 89123. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals - aspca.org
