

Seena Tomar Bernstein, 92, of Las Vegas, passed away on Friday February 9, 2018. She was born on November 29, 1925 to Joseph and Evelyn Tomar (nee Jacobson) in Philadelphia, PA and was a Las Vegas resident since 1978. She and her husband Jack were proprietors in the restaurant business, most notably “Ronnies” in Philadelphia until retiring and moving to Las Vegas. Once settled in Las Vegas, they opened “Chocolate Heaven” “We R Nuts” in the original MGM Hotel (later Bally’s) and in the Riviera Hotel. Seena was also known for her authentic appearances in closed caption public service announcements on channels 5 and 8 in Las Vegas. Seena is preceded in death by her parents; Jack, her beloved husband for 56 years; sister, Margaret Tomar; and granddaughter, Dana Marshall-Bernstein. She is survived by her son, Edward Bernstein (Claudia Noriega-Bernstein); daughter, Randi Bernstein Doroshow (Breea Forget); sister, Connie Tomar Silverman (Marv Silverman); brother, Stephen Tomar (Stuart Lampert); seven grandchildren, Robyn Doroshow-Repetti (John Repetti II), Jesse Doroshow (Kristin White Doroshow), Eden Bernstein, Elana Bernstein, Thalia Trentacarlin, Isabella Trentacarlin, and Sophia Trentacarlin; and seven great-grandchildren, Maya Phillips, Jacqueline Doroshow, Isaac Doroshow, Elijah Doroshow, Samuel Doroshow, John Repetti III, and Ryan Repetti. She will be missed by so many. She was a loving, caring, kind, and gentle woman who touched everyone that had the fortune to know her. Funeral and burial services will be held on Sunday February 11, 2018 1:00PM at King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 E. Eldorado Lane, Las Vegas.
