

Sherilyn Barr Shaw-Elledge was born on August 29, 1963 at La Mesa Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, California. She was the daughter of Dale Edward Doyle and Patricia Lee Merrylees. She grew up in San Diego, California and Tigard, Oregon where she graduated. Sherilyn was raised with three siblings. She had two sisters Christine and Lynda, and a brother Daniel. She was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years. As a young girl, Sherilyn had a number of interests. She was an active child who took part in softball. She was a Girl Scout. However, to her, the most fun to be had was simply playing and spending time with her friends. On August 22, 2005 she married Brian Clark Elledge in Las Vegas, Nevada. Sherilyn was blessed with two children, daughter Angela and son Jordan. She enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Her favorite hobbies were writing and riding Harleys. She was content to enjoy her favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share her interests with others. Sherilyn’s faith was important to her. She was a member of Central Christian for ten years. Sherilyn enjoyed traveling and time away on vacations. It was a chance for her to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things. One of her favorite trips was attending the River Run in Laughlin, Nevada. Sherilyn was a lover of animals and cherished her pets. Some of her favorites were ISIS and Odin, American Pitbulls; Princeton, a Persian cat; and Sabbath, a black lab. She was preceded in death by her father Dale Doyle. She is survived by her husband, Brian; children Angela and Jordan; and mother Patricia. Services were held at Palm Eastern Mortuary. Sherilyn was laid to rest in Palm Eastern Cemetery. Simply stated, Sherilyn was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Sherilyn leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Sherilyn Barr Shaw-Elledge.
