Sherri Jo Dinkel

Sherri Jo Dinkel passed away Saturday morning, October 28, 2017. Sherri was born in Fort Bragg (Fayetteville), North Carolina. She spent her childhood growing up in a loving household in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with her parents (Robert Goodsitt and Barbara Kaiser) and brother (Jeffrey Goodsitt). Sherri’s adolescent years were spent on a ranch home in Mequon, Wisconsin with her mother, step-father (Michael Kaiser), brother, and several pets/animals including Arabian horses. Sherri always had a true passion for animals, which explains her strong and everlasting love of several dogs and companions over the years (Astra, Ruby, Oakley, Tyson, Duke, and Max). Sherri was a free spirit and old soul who got started on her own at an early age ultimately meeting Kenneth Arnold (“Arnie”) and wedding him at 19 years old. Shortly after marriage Sherri gave birth to her first and only child, Joshua Lee Arnold. The young family was “on the road” quite a bit experiencing life to the fullest with Arnie being a professional drummer in multiple bands, most notably Short Stuff. These were some of the best times of Sherri’s life given her admiration of music (in particular Blues music) and having an opportunity to experience the music industry first hand with her family. While Josh was being raised by his grandparents in Scottsdale, AZ, Sherri and Arnie had an amicable divorce. Shortly thereafter Sherri met and married her second husband, Steven Dinkel. Steve and Sherri had some great times, memories, and adventures in Milwaukee prior to moving to Scottsdale, AZ in 1985 to be closer to Josh and continue raising him where Josh’s grandparents had left off. Sherri, Steve, and Josh spent the next 10 years or so as a tight- knit family while Steve and Sherri ran a successful limousine company, Five Star Transportation. At one time Five Star was the largest limousine company (based on number of limousines) in the entire state of Arizona. In addition to the business, Sherri and Steve spent a ton of time with Josh supporting him in his various sports and school activities. In 1999 Sherri moved to Las Vegas, NV to be closer to her family where she ended up working for the family business, Goodsitt Commercial Group (a Commercial Real Estate Management and Leasing firm). Josh visited Sherri and the rest of the family frequently and moved to Las Vegas with his fiancé (Risa Guzman) in 2014. Soon after Sherri became a grandmother for the first time to two grandsons, Jaxson Logan Arnold and Jaylen Lennox Arnold. Needless to say, Sherri spent the majority of her free time over the past few years loving and caring for her two grandsons while being semi-retired. Sherri will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all of her family and friends as she truly was and is one of a kind. Sherri is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Goodsitt and Barbara Kaiser; step-father, Michael Kaiser; ex-husband, Kenneth Arnold; and husband. Steven Dinkel. She is survived by her son, Josh (Risa Guzman) Arnold; sister, Staci (Ken Kim) Kaiser; brother, Jeffrey Goodsitt; step-mother, Dorothy Goodsitt; two grandsons, Jaxson and Jaylen Arnold; and two nephews, Tristan Kaiser and Chase Goodsitt. Memorial services and committal were held on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 E. Eldorado Lane, Las Vegas, NV. Family requests that memorial donations be sent to the American Cancer Society. King David Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
