Shirley Agnes Harris

March 1936 - July 2018

Shirley A. Harris, 82, a homemaker and Las Vegas Native, passed away peacefully at her Henderson home this week while surrounded by her husband, three children, a grandchild and great-grandchild. Born to Byron "BW" and Stella Snider, Shirley graduated in 1954 from Las Vegas High School, and soon married Airman First Class Basil "Bill" Harris who was serving at Nellis Air Force Base. This month Shirley and Bill celebrate their 64th anniversary after 20 years of military service and following private sector careers. Shirley was an incredible military spouse as she moved her family to the Phillipines and many Air Bases and cities across the country. She was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grand mother and friend returning to Las Vegas in 1996. Shirley was proceeded in death by her parents, a daughter, three sisters, two brothers, and a son-in-law. Shirley is survived by her beloved husband, Bill; sons Nick (Kathy), Richard (Renee), daughter, Laura; nine grandchildern, seven great-grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandneices and many friends.
