Uncle Sipi was a man full of life and we're all going to miss him! I always appreciated how he was always there for our family and especially during my Fathers passing as he spoke on our behalf even though his own health wasn't good. Love you Aunty Ata, Willie, Fiti, Lima, Mele and kids. RIP Uncle Sipi Salavea!!!

My regards to Aunty Ata and Family. My thoughts are with you all. Uncle Sipi...we will never forget you and your smiles. You are one hecka of a ukulele player. I am so grateful I got to meet and known a good father to his kids and an uncle who's always a father to others. I remember the first time I met you I was living with tyrone at his parents house and you drove all the way to Oceanside with your daughter mele from picking her up from work to drop me off. I remember when your daughters and I in a argument you would sit us down and talk it over and then apologize to each other. I remember you and Aunty Ata getting dressed up ready to go out and you were so happy and cheery. I would always tell your girls your dad reminds me of my dad. I remember before we walked in your home we had to take our shoes off and you always reminded us for that. As I look back over the decades of life when my happiness actually began, I am grateful that your beloved companion Sipi was a part of that happiness. He taught me that being carefree was just as important as being responsible.  He taught me that forgiveness is not difficult, for all deserve compassion.  He taught me that music is a universal language and in music we can find God.  He taught me that a house is just a house, but a family is an eternal home.  He taught me that a measure of a man is not found in what material things he owns, but in the nobility he brings to his culture, in the integrity of his concern for others, and in his genuine love for God through action, not just words.  Yes, I will miss him, but will always treasure the knowledge, which is now mine because of him.  May you find comfort, Sis, in knowing that your loving husband has returned to where he once came, trailing clouds of glory to God, who is our home, and because of Jesus Christ, he will be yours forever.

Hi Uncle...we're about to pass state line right now, and it still hasn't hit me yet.  I don't know who else will listen to my dad's cheesy Rams jokes, but you.  I'm so grateful for the amazing life you've lived.  I've been blessed to be your niece.  Thank you for always loving us.  My dad always tells us how he'd look up to you when he was a boy...you even gave him his first car!!  My dad is a better man because of you, and for this I'll be forever blessed. Til we meet again...I love you Uncle!!

My wife and I will never forget when we ran in to Uncle Sipi on June 27,2003, the day before our wedding in Las Vegas . We just lost mom (Siavalua "Siliga" Tuisee) in 2002 and he represented her side at our wedding. His being there for us not only warmed our hearts but made the occasion that much more special.  We will never forget it.  We will miss him! May your family be comforted by all the memories he created to put a smile on your face for years to come.

To the entire Salavea family, you are being kept in our thoughts and prayers. I remember meeting Sipi at Scott and Willie's house. He sang and played the ukulele for us for a long time and we were totally entertained!  It was one of the fondest memories I have with the Salavea-Ribeiro family :-)  He will be dearly missed.
