Socorro “Coco” A. Rodriguez
April 20, 1943 – March 10, 2026
Socorro “Coco” A. Rodriguez passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, at the age of 82, after a strong and courageous battle with cancer.
Born on April 20, 1943, in Chihuahua, Mexico, Socorro carried a spirit of warmth, resilience, and unwavering love throughout her life. She later made her home in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she became the heart of her family.
Known lovingly as “Coco,” she was a woman of deep compassion and quiet strength. She forgave without hesitation, loved without condition, and moved through life with a peaceful grace that grounded everyone around her. Her presence felt like safety. Her love felt like home.
Coco had a deep love for 🎵 especially mariachi and classic songs. She didn’t just listen to music, she lived it. She would turn on a song without warning, begin singing with joy, and before long, everyone around her would be pulled in dancing, laughing, and sharing in the moment. She had a way of making life feel lighter, fuller, and worth celebrating.
Her words often carried blessings. She would say, “Dios te bendiga,” and she meant it with her whole heart. It was more than a phrase…it was how she lived, constantly pouring love, kindness, and grace into others.
She leaves behind a legacy through her beloved family: her daughter Gabriela Pollard and son-in-law Troy Pollard; her grandchildren Tatiana Shafar and Gabriel Pollard; and her great-grandsons Lucas Banks and Daniel Banks and many more.
Though she is no longer physically with us, the love she gave so freely continues to live on in every life she touched. Her legacy is not just remembered….it is carried forward.
She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and always loved.
“The memory of the righteous is a blessing.”
“La memoria del justo es bendita.”
- Proverbs 10:7
“Dios te bendiga.”
