Stephen R. Gottschall

1946-2018

Steve was a veteran of the Vietnam War and was last stationed at Nellis AFB. After meeting his wife in 1969, they made their home in Las Vegas where he worked at McCarran for 32 years.

Steve enjoyed coaching and attending all of his kids sporting events as they grew. As a family they enjoyed attending or watching their Red Sox and Patriots play! He liked participating with work friends in off road racing and fishing events.

Steve could always be found helping family, friends and neighbors or working on some project in the garage. Later after Steve retired, he could be found working NASCAR events at the Speedway or happily delivering flowers for a local shop. He and his wife also enjoyed wine trips up the coast and cruising the world. Steve was raised in Schulkill Haven, PA where he attended Nativity BVM HS followed by two years of business school then later received an associate’s degree in Occupational Safety at CCCC.

At the end of his life, Steve was still smiling and entertaining all the people that cared for him!

Steve was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Angela, and older brother Joe Gottschall.

He is survived by his wife Debbie; daughter Stephanie and her family Chad and Grant Gunter; son Todd and his family Christen, Gavin and Grace Gottschall.
